Located in Eagan, Companion Animal Hospital offers pet boarding for cats and dogs so you can enjoy peace of mind while you're gone. We know the importance of finding the perfect boarding facility. We provide a comfortable and friendly home away from home for your companion.
Dogs enjoy spacious indoor runs with insulated flooring and raised resting cots. They are exercised in our half-acre yard at least four times per day. In addition, we offer playtime with staff and compatible dogs in our indoor or outdoor play yard. Additional services include giving pets medications, insulin, and added playtime.
Your pet must be healthy to stay with us. If they have had recent bouts of vomiting or diarrhea, please call our office to discuss. Medical care may be recommended before stay.
Daycare is available for dogs and puppies from 8 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday.

Our Rates
Our Pet Hotel runs much like a Human Hotel - prices are per night. If your pet checks out by 11am, they are not charged for that day. If they need a late checkout, that is fine, but then an additional day will be charged.
Dog Boarding
- Dog in run - $46.00 per night.
- Second dog in the same run - $36.00 per night
- Puppy Boarding (<6 mo) extra playtimes included - $53.00 per night
- One extra playtime per day $11
- Meds or Insulin $7.50 per night
- Out alone fee is $5.00 additional per night
Dog Daycare
- $34.00 per day
- Prepay 15 days, get 10% off
- Prepay 25 days, get 12.5% off
Cat Boarding
- General - $30 per night
- Cat condo - $36.00 per night
- Boarding for a second cat in the same condo is $19.00 per night
- Meds or Insulin $7.50 per night
Rabbits
- $30.00 per night

Our Boarding Requirements
- Dogs must be current on their Canine Distemper and Parvo (DHPP), Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines.
- Cats must be current on their distemper (FVRCP) and rabies vaccines
- All boarders must provide proof that they are free from parasites – internal or external.
- We require a 2-night minimum stay and pre-payment of 2 nights to hold your reservation for the following holidays and busy times: Christmas through New Year’s Day, District 196 spring break in March, Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July week, Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving weekend and October teacher MEA break. If you cancel up to 3 days prior we will credit your deposit to your account to be used toward future services. These times are very busy - be sure to make your plans in advance to ensure a spot.
- You must drop off and pick up during our normal office hours. We do have an additional pickup time on weekends and holidays in the evening between 6:15 and 6:45. This needs to be arranged for in advance. The drop off times are 2-5:30pm Monday thru Friday, and 8-11:30am Saturdays. If you need an early drop off, please call our office. If the run is available early, we would be happy to accomodate you. Pick up in the morning before 11am, and you will not be charged for an additional day. If your pet needs to spend the day with us, we can arrange that, but an additional day will be charged, and your pet will need to be picked up by 6pm weekdays, or the evening pickup on the weekends.
- There is an additional "out-alone fee" for dogs that can not go out in groups.
- Un-neutered males older than 1 year can not attend daycare and will charged an additional "out alone fee" when boarding.
- We provide premium food but encourage owners to bring their pet’s food.
- We have everything your pet needs for a comfortable stay with us, including off the ground cots. You can bring personal items for your pet if you feel they are needed, but please limit them. We are not responsible for lost or damaged items.
